What is The Birth Pillow?
The Birth Pillow is a pillow that is exactly the same size as your newborn. The pillow in 1:1 scale is also personalized with the name and birth information of your baby. The timeless design fits into any nursery and is not only a real eye-catcher, but also a reminder of having a newborn.
How can I design my Birth Pillow?
You have the option to choose 1 of 12 different designs.
In addition the name, birth size, birth weight, birthday and birth time are printed on the back of the pillow.
You also have the option to choose the Photo Pillow. In this option, we print a photo of your choice on the front of the pillow.
How heavy is The Birth Pillow?
Our pillows, depending on the size, have a standard weight of about 300g.
How big is The Birth Pillow?
The pillow is exactly the same size as your newborn. You can choose between 15 and 65cm. If you need a different size, please contact us and we will make the pillow in the desired size.
I can not choose the size of my baby.
If you can't find your size in the product selection, simply choose another one and, immediately after placing your order, feel free to send us an email at contact@thebirthpillow.com and let us know the size you need.
What kind of material is The Birth Pillow made of?
The Birth Pillow is made of soft and comfortable fabric that is gentle on the baby's skin. Both the fabric and the print are non-toxic, which was very important to us during the design process.
Is The Birth Pillow washable?
It was very important to us during the development of the pillow that The Birth Pillow is uncomplicated to clean. Therefore, you can wash the pillow in the washing machine at 30 degrees or in the hand wash program.
Please notice that The Birth Pillow is not suitable for the dryer.
What do I need to consider when choosing the image for the Photo Birth Pillow?
It is important that the photo is sharp and the baby is easily recognizable. Blurry or out of focus images will lead to a poor final result of the Photo Birth Pillow.
In addition, the baby should be fully shown in the photo so that it can be optimally represented on the Photo Birth Pillow. Do not use pictures where parts of the body are cut off, as this will affect the overall image.
Do I have to choose a photo where the baby is lying on its back?
The position of the baby in the photo is entirely up to you. The only thing that has to be taken into account is that the whole body of the baby to be able to depict a good shape.
Is the shape predefined?
The shape of the Photo Birth Pillow will be customized to fit the position of your baby in the photo you choose.
Is the background cut out?
We will cut out the background of your selected photo.
Can I also use a photo of the head?
The Photo Birth Pillow is made in 1:1 scale to the size and weight of your baby at birth. If you only use a photo of your baby's head, it will look very fake. Since we want to give you the best possible Photo Birth Pillow, we advise you to use a photo in which your baby is fully visible.
Can I wash the Photo Birth Pillow?
The same washing information applies to the Photo Birth Pillow as to our other Birth Pillows.
You can wash the Photo Birth Pillow in the washing machine at 30 degrees or in the hand wash program. For the Photo Birth Pillow with birth weight, please note the maximum load of your washing machine.
The Photo Birth Pillow is not suitable for the dryer.
Are there also pillows for angel babies?
Especially for angel babies, our Birth Pillows are perfect.
Holding the baby in your arms again in the exakt size and weight as a reminder helps many parents cope with grief.
If your size is not listed in the product selection, simply choose another size and send us an email to contact@thebirthpillow.com immediately after placing your order and let us know what size you need.
I found a discount code after placing my order. Can I still use it?
Discount codes can be redeemed during the order process. A subsequent crediting of discounts is unfortunately not possible, as the code may not have been active at the time of your order.
How can I cancel my order?
Since your personalized pillow goes directly into printing, a cancellation of your order is no longer possible. Each pillow is individually handmade for you by our hardworking sewers. The products are considered finally sold and therefore cannot be returned.

Please contact us within 6 hours after placing the order to change any details. Our production team works all the time to ensure that The Birth Pillow arrives as quickly as possible. If The Birth Pillow has already been put into production in the meantime, a change or cancellation is unfortunately impossible. We thank you for your understanding.

Which countries do you ship to and what are the shipping costs?
We ship within USA, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden with free shipping.
Will I receive a shipment number?
As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive your shipment number from us by mail.
How long does the shipping take?
Since all our pillows are handmade with much love, the average delivery time is about 14 days.
With increased order volume, it may well take a little longer.

Can I return my Birth Pillow?
Since your Birth Pillow is custom made for you, we cannot accept returns. If you would like to return your pillow due to a quality defect, please contact our kind customer service at contact@thebirthpillow.com.

My Birth Pillow is larger/smaller than specified.
Each cushion is sewn with much love by hand. We make every effort to realize the 1:1 scale. Depending on the amount of filling, it may well be that there are minimal variations of 1-2 cm. We thank you for your understanding.

Each pillow will be printed with the data you specified when ordering. Please understand that we can not check every data. Therefore, please make sure the data is correct when placing the order.

Can I buy a new cover only?
Unfortunately, due to the production of the pillow, it is not possible for us to re-produce only the cover of the pillow.
